Hello everyone!! I hope you are staying dry on this drizzly day.
Today, despite the rain in the afternoon, we were able to do some farm work!
We planted some mini Autumn potatoes that will be ready to pick over the winter(probably December or January).
First, we took a tour of the farm to see how the other vegetables were growing.
Then we prepared for planting our potatoes.
Potatoes grow well when spaced 30 cm, so we made a rope to guide our planting.
With a tape measure, we made 30 cm marks on the rope so we would easily know where to plant each potato.
Then we staked off the areas to plant, dug trenches, and planted our potatoes.
Just as we were finishing, the rain picked up again, but we made it back just in time.
Hopefully, we can have more nice weather days to get more farm work done.
Have a great day and see you next week!
Regards, Michael
