Good afternoon everyone! Today was the beginning of our planting for the summer garden.
As always, we began with review of English greetings and terms for daily usage. Then we covered this months vocabulary and lesson points. As you know, we are covering Spring and plant growth.
After review, we started our planting of Okra seeds. First, we removed seeds from last year's pods. Then we counted and inventoried our seeds. Next, we created biodegradable pots from craft paper by rolling it out with a jar and folding over the edges.
Lastly, we filled the pots with organic potting soil and planted three seeds in each pot. One of our classmates will be watching the seeds and watering them over the next few weeks until they are ready to plant. We are all excited to have yummy okra this Summer!!!
