Today we did a little art work with natural materials. First, we went to the beach to search for drift wood.
Along the way, we looked at different edible vegetables along the way; we saw hama daikon and ashitaba, and we also found potatoes!
Once we made it to chojagasaki, we found lots of different beach drift wood. Each child brought back many pieces of wood, and other interesting beach objects as well.
We also enjoyed our walk by doing climbing, running, and jumping.
Once back at school, we painted our beach wood black and will hang it on a white backdrop next class.
At the end, we had a chance to play a quick game of UNO!
