Hello Everyone!!!
Today was such nice weather that we went to the farm!
After last week's lesson, we continued by painting a back frame for the black drift wood. The students who did not attend painted their drift wood first today.
The other kids first measured and cut wood for the frame. Using a square and pencil, they drew a line at 90 degrees, then cut with a hand saw.
Then, we sanded the edged until they were nice and smooth.
Then we painted the frames white. Next lesson, we will put them together to complete our contrast art project.
With our remaining time, we planted the black corn that we had planted into seed trays three weeks ago. Each child dug a small hole, and gently planted the seedlings into the soil. Next time we will attend to these corn plants and watch how they grow. We will also add companion plants around them to help them grow!!
Finally, we enjoyed a nice sunset from the deck of the farm house!!
Have a great week and see you next time!
Regards,
Michael Coach
