Hello Everyone!!
This week we discussed the bugs that are now attacking some of our veggies. Mainly, in our three sisters garden, many cucumber beetles (uri ha mushi) are becoming a big problem.
First, we decided what bug was attacking our veggies by looking at the type of damage. The leaves had circular holes that are common of cucumber beetles.
So we made a spray out of garlic, peppers, and ashes and sprayed them onto the plants. We will be watching the plants over the next few weeks to see if they change. Let's hope they grow nice and big soon!!!
Finally, we made a sign board for our three sisters farm. We're so excited to try these yummy veggies. And before going home today, we picked fava beans and daikon for tonight's dinner!
